AFI FEST REVEALS WORLD CINEMA, SPECIAL SCREENINGS, CINEMA’S LEGACY AND MIDNIGHT LINEUPS

AFI FEST 2018 presented by Audi has just revealed a huge wave of programming — including all the films in the World Cinema, Special Screenings, Cinema’s Legacy and Midnight sections.

Totaling 28 titles from 27 countries, this year’s World Cinema lineup boasts seven foreign Oscar® contenders, as well as the North American premiere of the Elena Ferrante series MY BRILLIANT FRIEND.

SPECIAL SCREENINGS

This year’s special screenings include some of the year’s most anticipated narrative features, documentaries and episodic series.

CINEMA’S LEGACY AND MIDNIGHT

Cinema’s Legacy features six independent films directed by women, while Midnight thrills and chills with macabre genre offerings.

MORE ABOUT AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE’S AFI FEST PRESENTED BY AUDI

AFI FEST presented by Audi takes place each fall in Hollywood, CA, and features nightly red-carpet galas, special screenings, conversations and tributes. AFI FEST remains the first and only festival of its stature that is free to the public, offering the best of current cinema in Hollywood. This year’s dates are November 8th through November 15th, with the world premiere of On the Basis Of Sex opening the festival and the world premiere of Mary Queen of Scots closing it.
